Mock Draft 1.0

Gotta start getting my gameface on for this.. Here's the first run through. The Cutler trade is throwing some kinks in! I wouldn't be surprised to see the Lions do something crazy too. There's no great players in this draft and the money paid at the top is just not worth the talent this year.

1. Lions- Matthew Stafford QB Georgia: He actually wants to play there? wtf?

2. Rams- Jason Smith OT Baylor: Ex Tight End. Great feet. Could go Monroe too

3. Chiefs- Aaron Curry LB Wake Forest: Best player available. Chiefs need everything

4. Seahawks- Eugene Monroe OT Virginia: Replaces Walter Jones, All-Pro who left

5. Browns- Brian Orapko DE/LB Texas: Physical freak. I think he'll be a bust

6. Bengals- Andre Smith OT Alabama: Wanted to say Raji but failed drug test a ? mark

7. Raiders- Jeremy Maclin WR Missouri: Al Davis loves speed. Not a great pick though

8. Jaguars- Michael Crabtree WR Texas Tech: Should have gone higher. Great pickup

9. Packers- Everette Brown DE FSU: Changes to Linebacker for 3-4. High motor guy

10. Niners- Mark Sanchez QB USC: Cali guy. They need a QB. Best player available

11. Bills- Aaron Maybin DE Penn State: Bills draft PSU guys. They need defense. Done

12. Broncos- BJ Raji DT Boston College: Failed drug test lets him slip. new 3-4 D (Note, they wanted Sanchez but he'll be gone. Orton can get it done)

13. Redskins- Tyson Jackson DE LSU: Best defensive player available. Could pick USC backer or Running Back (Beanie, Knowshon)

14. Saints- Brian Cushing LB USC: Saints always draft USC guys. They need D help

15. Texans- Robert Ayers DE Tennessee: Lots of needs, best player available. Start opposite former #1 pick Mario Williams

16. Chargers- Beanie Wells RB Ohio State: They need a long term RB solution. Most talented team in football fills final hole

17. Jets- Josh Freeman QB Kansas State: I don't like the pick, but I think they have to go QB

18. Broncos- Rey Maualuga LB USC: Miracle that he falls this far. QBs are gone. perfect fit

19. Bucs- Percy Harvin WR Florida: I hate to say it.. but it makes sense. They need a playmaker

20. Lions- Malcolm Jenkins Safety Ohio State: Played corner, fill any secondary slot

21. Eagles- Knowshon Moreno RB Georgia: Probably won't fall this far. Perfect fit

22. Vikings- Hakeem Nicks WR North Carolina: Big play guy. Could take Bey/Pettigrew

23. Patriots- Clay Matthews LB USC: Best of the 3 SC backers. I pray he falls to Pats

24. Falcons- Brandon Pettigrew TE Ok State: Big target, not afraid to block. Love him

25. Dolphins- Darrius Heyward-Bey WR Maryland: Burner, fastest guy in draft. Fins have need at Wideout. (Note, may trade for Anquan Boldin!)

26. Ravens- Michael Oher OT Miss: Can always use more O-lineman. Ogden retired

27. Colts- Peria Jerry DT Miss: Ole Miss back to back? wow. Big fatty, plugs holes

28. Eagles- Vontae Davis CB Illinois: Physical freak. Could take Butler(cb) from Uconn or Laurinaitis as well

29. Giants- James Laurnaitis LB Ohio State: Smart, 3 down backer. Giants would be lucky to snag him this late

30. Titans- Ziggy Hood DT Missouri: Replaces Haynesworth. Moving up people's boards fast

31. Cardinals- Donald Brown RB UConn: Best back in draft in my opinion. Cardinals need RB and Defense help

32. Steelers- Ebon Britton OT Arizona: I dunno who they'll take but it will be an O Lineman for sure. Could go with Alex Mack from Cal if they feel he's more versatile.

OK there you have it! Just a heads up so you can start planning.. Draft party at my house the weekend of the 25th. There will be drinking games and lots of trash talk. If you don't drink you're still invited! It's growing more and more every year.. from our humble beginnings as two fat kids sitting on our parents couch.

I'm sure that we'll be going out Saturday night if we aren't too drunk. Girls are invited but only if they plan on cooking, giving out BJs, or know their football. Dad, I'm expecting you to get a free pass for the weekend and come hang out.

Manfood will be served, BYOB.

No way the chargers take a running back. I bet they take the other good Buckeye available LB Laurinaitis.
